The History of the Wheels of Thunder

The Wheels of Thunder Classic Car club was formed in 1997. A group of men were sitting around a table in a garage discussing their interest in classic cars. They formed what turned out to be a very active classic car club. Our group is comprised of many different professions. From correction officers, postal workers, city, county and utlity workers. Many self employed and several retirees are also members of our great club. We are a family based club. We are involved in many activities that are enjoyed by the entire family. Several spouses have their own classic/muscle cars. Children and Grand-children of club members are also involved. We have a strong Ladies Auxilary that compliment the efforts of the club and their spouses. Our club gives back to the community. We have financially assisted private families, the Bridgeton Salvation Army, St. Teresa Soup Kitchen and many other organizations. We are a strong supporter of the Cohanzick Zoo. (where our annual club show is held the first Sunday in October each year) We want to give great thanks to all of the people that have supported our shows and efforts through-out the years. You can recognize our members with the maroon shirt, our trademark.
